2-Tier Bamboo Steamer is a traditional cooking utensil made entirely of natural bamboo, used for steaming food using steam. With a multi-tier design, the bamboo steamer not only helps you prepare multiple dishes at the same time but also brings a characteristic, delicious flavor while retaining all nutrients for the food.
Features
-
Natural Material - Bamboo:
- Health Safety: Bamboo is a natural material, free of toxic chemicals, ensuring absolute safety when in contact with food at high temperatures.
- Eco-Friendly: A rapidly renewable and biodegradable material, contributing to environmental protection.
- Preserves Characteristic Flavor: Hot steam passing through the bamboo layer carries the natural scent of bamboo, infusing into the food, creating a signature delicious flavor, especially for dimsum or seafood.
- Moisture Absorption: Bamboo has the ability to absorb excess moisture, preventing food from getting waterlogged while maintaining softness without becoming mushy.
-
2-Tier Design (or more):
- Time and Energy Saving: Allows steaming multiple types of food simultaneously, optimizing cooking time. For example, you can steam dimsum on the top tier and vegetables on the bottom tier.
- Good Steam Circulation: The tiers are designed with vent holes at the bottom, allowing steam from the pot to circulate evenly across all tiers, ensuring food is cooked evenly.
- Tight-Fitting Lid: The lid is closely woven to retain internal steam, concentrating temperature to cook food quickly and efficiently.
-
Durability and Aesthetics: Sturdily hand-woven with decent durability if properly maintained. The rustic, natural appearance brings a traditional, refined touch to the kitchen.
Usage and Maintenance Notes
- First Use: Wash with clean water and soak in warm water for about 30 minutes to remove the new bamboo scent and help the bamboo expand and become more durable. Then steam empty for 20-30 minutes.
- Avoid Prolonged Soaking: Do not soak in water for too long or overnight to prevent rotting, mold, or deformation.
- Cleaning After Use: Wash with warm water and a soft brush or sponge. Do not use soap or harsh detergents as they can absorb into the bamboo and ruin the natural aroma. Remove all food residues.
- Dry Completely: The most important factor is to dry completely after each use. Air dry in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight for too long to prevent cracking.
- Dry Storage: Store in a dry, ventilated place, avoiding humid or airtight areas.
- Not for Microwave/Oven: Only use for steaming on the stove.
